Visit Møn
Møn offers a rich cultural heritage shaped over thousands of years.
Centrally located in the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, Liselund Castle Hotel is a perfect base for exploring. Start with the award winning GeoCenter and the UNESCO World Heritage Møns Klint chalk cliffs and from there adventure into diverse coastal and marine habitats. The area features extensive trails through forests, grasslands, and wetlands that support diverse and rare flora and fauna, including several rare and endemic species such as the large blue butterfly sortplettet blåfugl and 18 wild orchid species, including the rare Pyramidal Orchid (Anacamptis pyramidalis).
The island is home to a number of well preserved prehistoric sites, medieval churches, half-timbered farmhouses and traditional villages. Liselund Museum Garden is among Scandinavia’s finest examples of 18th-century Romantic landscape gardens. Liselund Ny Slot was added to the estate in 1887 as the new main residence and now operates as a boutique hotel, blending Romantic heritage with Victorian elegance in the heart of Møn’s remarkable natural scenery.
